Nurse treats my husband like a crack addict because he has ADHD. It took my husband a long time to speak to our long time physician about his issues surrounding his ADHD and although he was diagnosed very young he went untreated for fear of the stigma attached. Our long time physician however was professional and empathetic. We moved here and our new doctor didn't want to give him his medication. Saying she doesn't have any adults patients on it. Given this town only has 1500 people Im sure there is much she has yet to encounter with her patients. Most recently my husband had a situation with his medication dropping it into my dishwater. This has never happened before. He has never, not once needed an early refill or an emergency dose. He also has to take drug tests to ensure the drug is present in his system. When he went in to speak to the nurse she was completely unprofessional and rude. I guess everyone who takes Adderall is looking to sell their pills because that is exactly how she treated my husband. My husband was embarrassed to even go in and ask and has been taking half his prescribed dose in an attempt to make it to his refill date, however he will still be 7 days short. In my opinion the last thing I would want as a medical professional is for my patients to feel uncomfortable approaching me. In fact that is the antitheses of a medical provider. Among the list of symptoms of abrupt withdraw are suicidal thoughts and depression. At the end of the day, we are still customers. We deserve adequate customer service and deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, not judgement and indignancy. I am well aware that our country is in the throws of an opioid crisis and that stimulants are commonly abused. However it is unwise, unprofessional and uneducated to paint every person with the same brush especially when there has been no behavior indicative of abuse.

We will be taking our business elsewhere.
