Excellent customer service, clean rooms, pool is nice to wear the kids out. Close to downtown, walking distance to several restaurants, including a grocery store. Easy In and out. No complaints with my stay.
The room was exceptionally clean. The air freshener the housekeepers use has an off smell to it at first, but it fades quickly enough to where it isn't bothersome. The staff seemed in a bit of a rush (understandable), but were still very helpful as to helping me get into my room and providing me with whatever I needed. I caught a young woman dancing around to oldies on the radio as she was wiping down the table tops in the room next to mine. I'm glad to see that the staff is cheerful and that there's still hope for this generations taste in music. This might seem odd to add in a review, but I wish I could've gotten to know the girl with the short wild hair and the endless blue eyes. I should've said something more when I ran into her the next morning and she repeatedly apologized as she continued on towards her daily tasks mouthing the lyrics to Addicted to Love. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here at this hotel and will hopefully be staying again.
The location was central to what we were there for, grocer and gas station across the street along with local eateries with easy access. The hotel room appeared clean, the beds were terrible, way to flimsy and did not allow for much rest due to this fact. The room maintenance lady (maid) failed to leave toilet paper so I had to take one off the cart in the hall. The cleaning of the room consisted with her making the bed and picking up the used towels. Tried to use my AAA discount and I was told it should have been used during the reservation period done online. I tried to explain to them there was nothing on there to do so and they simply said it was too late to use the discount. I would not stay here again unless they did some updates, even though the location was good. Not great but good
Overall, room was clean except for the wash cloth left hanging in the shower. The entrance door was patched together, looked like it had been kicked in. Room was very small. Toilet was also loose on the floor. Had the room been 60 - 80 dollars per night I would not complain but at 155. dollars my expectations are a bit higher. Staff was friendly and the exterior was neat and pretty well maintained. There was nothing available for breakfast, again for the price I would at least expect the basics.
The hotel itself isn't too bad, the rooms are a little dated but clean and functional. The rooms have a few minor maintenance issues, to be expected in an older hotel. However, the rooms are not worth the price - around $130-$140 a night with no breakfast included. There are other options nearby that are better and much cheaper.
