This place is a little kitschy and a little pricey for the style... but it's good food and feels nice. It's cute. It's got a bit of a comical charm, featuring characters like Li'l Abner and friends. If you're not prepared to order funny named food, though, maybe pass this one up. But if you'd like some cozy dining and a nice salad bar, go for it!
I gave this place 2 chances and have yet had a meal. Yes you heard that correct. A group of 6 came in and waited 30 minutes without even one wait staff saying a word to us. It was Labor Day weekend so we knew they may be over worked so we were patient. We tried talking to one waitress as she passed and acted like we were invisible. We left and went down the street. Try #2 we were with 4 kids and needed a table again for 6. A couple just needed to pay and offered us their table. Waitstaff told us they would clean the table before we sit. We stood by the counter waiting. Kids getting annoyed as 15 minutes went by and the table still wasn't cleaned. 3 waitresses ignored me when I asked them to clean it so we could sit. Mean while a pizza someone ordered sat on a counter getting cold this entire time. One waitress was to busy talking about her weekend. This same waitress that ignored us Labor Day weekend. They just don't care!!! We again walked out.
This place had so much potential. I really wanted to like it for the atmosphere, but our overall experience was just terrible.
We finally place our order, but literally every dish on our table was incorrect. We order four entrees:
After this completely awful experience the waitress apologized and said that she was going to give us a discount, but when our checks came everything was listed at full price.
(1) The first entree was a Gyro. When my wife placed the order she clearly asked for wheat bread, but the dish came out on white.
There's not much natural lighting and the menu IS a little difficult to read because it's written in slang. Would visit again
Like I said in the beginning: I really wanted to like the place, but was just shocked by how terrible the experience was.
The menu was difficult to understand, which would have been fine if our waitress had been able to explain it to us, but she was brand new (apparently started working the day before) and had no idea what the dishes contained.
We tried this restaurant because there weren't many breakfast places nearby. The food was better than most diners and the portions/prices were reasonable (full sized omelette, hash browns and giant toast for $10).
Very nice place to have a meal. Decent prices, good food and "awesome" service. Little bit of a wait but not terrible (10 min maybe). Our young waitress was probably the best I've ever had. She was very clear and outspoken, super nice and attentive without hovering. Recommend this place to anyone.
(2) The second entree was the beef, which was supposed to be on white bread with gravy, with a side of mashed potatoes. My father asked for a baked potato with butter instead of the mashed potatoes, but when the order came out the beef was on wheat bread, and the baked potato was slathered with gravy.
(3) and (4) Both of these dishes were supposed to be the beef sandwich with french fries, but waitress completely missed the order and we received hamburgers instead.
